Henry Kurkowski is a writer, award-winning author, and arts advocate whose work explores LGBTQ+ visibility. His completed memoir explores LGBTQ+ resilience in 1990s New York. Henry's writing on technology, culture, and advocacy has appeared in Forbes, Newsweek, and Writer’s Digest. Born and raised on Long Island, he now splits his time between Indianapolis and Key West.
For more than two decades, Henry has been a founding partner in pioneering technology companies. In 2022, he received a U.S. utility patent for his design of a wireless technology process. His leadership has been recognized with honors including Indy’s Best and Brightest by Junior Achievement of Central Indiana and the Indianapolis Business Journal’s Forty Under 40. A pioneer in managed WiFi technologies, remote IT management, and digital engagement, Henry has consistently focused on how innovation can connect people and strengthen communities.
As an arts advocate and community leader, Henry has worked extensively to strengthen cultural organizations and expand access to the arts. He has served on nonprofit boards and committees, building partnerships that connect businesses, artists, and audiences. His work has helped create innovative collaborations that brought national attention to both the organizations and their communities. Henry believes there is no higher calling than to serve, and his advocacy continues to be a driving force across his creative and professional life.
